The Central Tier will begin meeting monthly-the first Tuesday of every month at Covenant Central Church at 11:30 am. Beverages will be provided and everyone is encouraged to bring a bag lunch-but no one will go hungry and sandwiches will be on hand. Meetings will be focused on Prayer, Fellowship and Sharing Ideas. The Presbyterian Youth Triennium is a gathering of youth and adults from the Presbyterian Church (USA). The Presbyterian Youth triennium is a truly amazing experience - for youth and adults! The stories we all hear about encounters with Christ, deepening of faith, connecting to the Christian story and to the community of God...these are all a part of the Triennium experience.
The theme this year is "For Such A Time As This" from Esther 4:14. The theme will be developed throughout the week through daily presentations, worship, prayer, recreation, and small groups.

 FRIENDS OF RENACER - will again be serving at Hogar Renacer, a small orphanage and school north of Tegucigalpa in Cofradia, Honduras. Dates are tentatively June 12-19, 2010. The cost is $1,200 and that includes an overnight trip to the Maya Ruins at Copan. A $200 non-refundable deposit is due before February 1, 2010. Our residents, staff, and volunteers live our mission everyday. Our goal is to provide quality care so our residents can look forward not just to living longer, but to living well.
The provision of charity has been at the heart of Presbyterian Senior Living since its inception. Throughout our history, no one has ever had to leave the Presbyterian Senior Living system of care because they were unable to pay for the services they needed and deserved.
In 2008, over $978,643 was provided in charitable care to residents who outlived their resources at both Sycamore Manor and Presbyterian Home. Most importantly, the dignity of every resident is respected. Persons needing subsidy are not distinguished in any way from those who have sufficient resources to cover the cost of their care. Contributions have helped provide charitable care as well as make renovations and special projects possible.
We would appreciate the opportunity to provide a Minute for Mission at your church or speak to your class or group.
The Sycamore Manor Auxiliary
Our auxiliary extends their support to not only the residents at Sycamore Manor, but also the residents at Presbyterian Home at Williamsport. The purpose of the auxiliary is to help enrich the lives of the residents through activities and occasional fundraising projects. The members of this group make a huge difference! They serve as a connection between the residents and the community. They’re of diverse faiths, yet united in a common, spiritual mission.
